Blossom is one of the older animals that call Salthill Cabin home, we believe that she is 18 years old. Blossom is 1 of 2 donkeys you may see when you visit, our other donkey is called Vera.

Where it all began: without Pygmy goats, there would be no cabin. When we opened the cabin in July 2018, we added two Pygmy goats named Stormy and Paris. Sadly, they are no longer with us. However, when you visit, you will see their daughters and granddaughters. Pygmy goats started our journey, and they will forever be an integral part of it.

Daniel our Male peacock is a Dark Shoulder peacock, the best time of the year to come and see Daniel is from March to July, during these months his tail is full and he is constantly showing off to impress our peahen Majella. Our hope in the future is that Majella will hatch a clutch of peachicks however so far she has been unsuccessful.

Salthill Cabin is home to a large selection of fowl including Chickens, Ducks, Geese Guineafowl and more. The birds bring a lot of life to the cabin they are always on the go. We have a large selection of breeds aswell. When we decided to get chickens for the farm I thought a chicken was just a chicken but I was so wrong they’re is hundreds of breeds out there from the silkie smooth silkie to the punk rock Poland they are truly amazing

We are hope to a beautiful herd of 3 Llamas Ally, Holly and prince. Unfortunately we lost Olly our old guy of the herd in June 2024. Olly and Ally arrived to us a couple of years into our Salthill Cabin adventure. During the first Covid staycation summer many people came to take all and plug for a walk along the shore road and were a vital part of our animal experience for visitors. Nowadays our Llamas have given up their walks unstated they now spend their time in the pasture grazing and enjoying life to the fullest.

Meet our local emus at the petting farm! These friendly, curious birds have become beloved residents since we first introduced them. Known for their striking height and soft, feathery plumage, our emus are gentle giants who love interacting with visitors. Their quirky personalities and playful antics make them a favorite among children and adults alike. Each emu has its own unique charm, and spending time with them offers a delightful and memorable experience.
